After a long drive, I arrived at the hotel which, although a bit noisy at times due to its proximity to the A6 motorway, offered a clean and spacious room that was big enough for the two of us. The service, despite the prior arrangement for gluten-free meals that fell through with a confusing charge situation, was complemented by the sudden attentiveness of the restaurant management. The location, complete with Astroturf, proved to be ideal for a stopover en route to the south of France, offering easy access to the town and surrounding wine region. The dining experience, while acceptable, had some issues with breakfast quality, and despite facing a retail park and a newer hotel across the street, the value for money was reasonable.
